Annual General Meeting of North Bengal Honey Community Enterprise Held at RDA, Bogura

 

BOGURA, April 27, 2026 — The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the North Bengal Honey Community Enterprise was successfully held in the conference room of the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogura on Monday. Dr. Md. Abdul Majid Pramanik, Acting Director General of the RDA, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Presentation of Annual Activities and Key Decisions During the meeting, the annual activities report for the country's first ‘Modhur Haat’ (Honey Market)—a joint initiative managed by SHISUK (Shikkha Shastha Unnayan Karjakram) and the RDA—was presented to the attendees. Based on the consensus of the 30 participating shareholders, the new executive leadership was officially approved:

  • Chairman: Shakiul Millat Morshed, Founder of SHISUK

  • Managing Director: Md. Jahangir Alam, Renowned Bee Organizer

Several other crucial decisions regarding the strategic direction and future operations of the enterprise were also finalized during the session.

Remarks from the Guests In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Md. Abdul Majid Pramanik highlighted the Honorable Prime Minister's keen interest in apiculture and referenced recent inspections of local beekeeping initiatives.
